Corigine is a fabless semiconductor company that designs and delivers leading edge I/O and networking products, IPs, and EDA tools.

 Founded in 2015, the company has R&D centers and sales offices worldwide including Santa Clara, Shanghai, Nanjing, Beijing, London, Centurion and Cape Town etc. The company is led by a team of renowned silicon professionals that have pioneered generations of innovations in the semiconductor industry.

Main Milestones

  • 2020.11

    Corigine SmartNic won first order from China Mobile, and collaborated with China Mobile in establishing a joint laboratory for next-generation SmartNic R&D.

  • 2020.01

    Corigine started targeting 5G and IDC market. Corigine SmartNIC provides server-based networking solutions that delivers unmatched price/performance and scalability for compute and service node applications in service provider and enterprise cloud networks. 

  • 2018.08

    Corigine won first USB IP order from SONY/ HRCP.

  • 2018.01

    Corigine started R&D on MimicPro, the next-generation SoC prototyping system and cloud based emulator.

    Corigine became H3C’s qualified TCAM chip vendor.

  • 2017.09

    Corigine USB 3.1 Gen 2 PC host and device controller intellectual property (IP) was certified by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) and compliant with USB SuperSpeed+, the fastest USB speed standard.

  • 2016.11

    Corigine acquired Marvell’s TCAM product line, and started providing TCAM with higher performance and larger capacity. 

  • 2015.08

    Corigine was founded on the principles of building silicon products, IP and building blocks that drive innovation and economics in the most promising technology areas globally.

Sheng Lu

Founder & CEO

Sheng founded Corigine in 2015, he has led the company in both product and business development. Sheng has more than 20 years of experience in silicon R & D management. He founded and co-founded three companies in Silicon Valley. All were acquired by leading semiconductor companies. He worked as R&D Director at Broadcom and Senior Director in CTO office at Marvell. 

Jim Finnegan

Jim has 30+ years of senior management experience in the networking and communications industries. He Worked as Senior VP and GM of both the Network Processor Division and the Communication Infrastructure Group's Technology Office at Intel.

Johann Tonsing

SmartNIC
CTO

Johann is a recognized industry expert in SDN, Linux- based networking technologies, network virtualization, security, and NFV. Johann has been an active contributing member and has been nominated to leadership roles in multiple standards bodies related to SDN and NFV. 

Dr. Yirngan Chen

Silicon
VP Engineering

Dr. Chen is a recognized expert in silicon IP design and verification. He worked as Verification Director in CTO office at Marvell before joining Corigine. Dr. Chen also worked as Computer Architecture and Formal Verification Professor in Taiwan JiaoTong University. He holds a PhD degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

Mike Shei

EDA
VP Engineering

Mike has over 27 years of experience in developing EDA tools. Before joining Corigine, he worked as Engineer Director at Synopsys. He also founded Fortelink Inc. 

Ali Khan

VP Product Marketing

Ali has over 20 years of experience building startups and running businesses, with particular expertise in the semiconductor sector. Prior to joining Corigine, Ali was Co-Founder and COO at Nucypher, Director of Product Management at Marvell, Co-Founder of Nexsi Systems, and Server NIC Product Manager at 3Com.
